Retrojar is a static, account-free website. There's nothing to log into, no profile to fill out, no comments database. What follows is the full account of what your browser does or doesn't leave behind when you visit.
Direct data
Retrojar itself stores effectively nothing about its readers. The site is served as pre-built static HTML from Cloudflare's network. Server logs at the edge are Cloudflare-internal and rotate quickly; we don't have or seek a copy of them.
If you write to contact@retrojar.cc, your email is retained as long as the conversation is useful (usually a year or two). Nothing is added to a mailing list. Nothing is shared with anyone outside the editorial desk.
Third-party tools
Google AdSense
Display advertising is provided by Google AdSense. Google's own cookies and signals determine which ads appear; Retrojar receives only aggregate performance reports. To control how Google personalizes ads to you specifically, visit Google Ads Settings.
The general industry opt-out is at aboutads.info (US) or youronlinechoices.eu (EU).
Embedded games
Game frames are served from GameDistribution's CDN. The game frame is sandboxed from Retrojar but may load its own analytics and ad scripts under GameDistribution's privacy policy, not ours. Closing the page or stopping the iframe ends those signals for the session.
Regional rights
Europe (GDPR)
Visitors in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland have the standard suite of GDPR rights — access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection — over any personal data Retrojar holds, which in practice is just whatever email correspondence you've sent. The legal basis is legitimate interest in running the site.
California (CCPA / CPRA)
California residents have analogous rights to know, delete, and opt out of any "sale" of personal information. Retrojar does not sell personal information.
To exercise any regional right, send a request from the email address you'd like acted upon to contact@retrojar.cc.
Children
Retrojar is general-audience but not directed at children under 13. Nothing on the site is designed to collect their data; if a minor has mistakenly written to us, one email and the record disappears.
Updates
The date at the top tracks when this policy last changed. Material updates affecting third-party data collection will be announced on the home page for at least 30 days.
